yeah, once you get to the later books its all just repertoire so you dont really have to stick with it

Some teachers complain that Suzuki focuses too much on songs rather than technique, even though it may be more fun. On the other hand, AMEB really focuses on technique but some of the songs are a bit crappy... :G

AMEB is soo not technique, well the scale part of it is, but the peices are just peices, even suzuki has more technique stuff then AMEB, well the first few books anyway, with the second vlumn, each peice was like an etude, u were concentrating on a sort of technique, i remember that the brahms waltz was a slur practise, so yeah, ABEM is just songs of a level, so ameb aint the best way to improve on violin, u wanna improve, buy a studies/etude book and start playing!
