Strings Glossary
Just post a word, and tell us what it means. Many people will benefit from this glossary if they don't know what a word means, and they can just look it up here! If you find an incorrect description or mis-spelt word, please PM that person to notify them. I'll start it off: Pizzicato Plucking the strings of an instrument that is usually played with a bow.

Martele A short, accented bowstroke where you apply pressure before you touch the string and release all pressure when your bow touches the string.
