IMEA
In Illinois we have an anual festival where high school age musicians from around the state audition to play in the one day festival. There are several of these festivals around the state because of the various districts. This year I tried out for dist. 1 orchestra and made it. I was third chair! I must have done something magical in my audition because I couldn't believe it when I got there. So a few weeks after that festival, there is another festival called All-State, where the best musicians from each of the districts go and play in another big orchestra. well, since I was third chair, there is a chance I will be invited to play in that festival. I am so excited. For basses, the first two to four chairs get to go, so i really hope to go.

Wow you're worse off than me... Most of our players are pretty good when they try its hard to get them motivated sometimes
