I hate to sound mean I realllly hate to sound like a mean know it all, but totally string, as i know your the owner, you have alot of things you still need to learn about music. I just went through and read all teh posts, and you had a bunch of questions that were.. err, i dont know. Like is a harpsichord the same thing as a harp? and a bunch of things i read when your giving advice, arent 100% correct. Maybe you can do some reearch, like i have, i have a HUGE book on everything there is to know about music, compsers instruments etc. And i have looked through it (not read) tons of times. its over 1,o00 pages. And i have read alot of it. So some of the advice you give, i have read in the book and you were not actually correct. Just some advice. PLEASE dont take this offensivly!!!

ill agree to some facts, totally strings advice is sumtimes rookie level, but he is only a bigginer in music, some of us have been playing for a long time (me for 7 yrs) so i would have plenty of musical knowledge, but for sumone like totallystring, i believe not yet a yr (maybe..) so his music ability shoudent bee that strong. im not taking sides.

At least he is learning. What is this grand book you speak of? I am very interested.

. well i dont intentionally try to give the wrong advice, but as everyone else said, i am only a beginner and you can't expect everyone to be as good as a professional (i assume) like you. remember though, as much as i would like it to be, Totally String isn't a solid-based reference, and i doubt anyone will use it as their core reference. it is simply a place for string people to share their ideas and then get retaught the correct way if they are wrong, and not everything has to be correct (even though the 'correct' thing is different for most people). and obviously many of us have different teachers and different types of learning styles, and they are all different, even though i would love it to be the same. Im sorry Jake if I provided the seemingly wrong information to you, but if you are as smart as I assume, you won't follow my information, and maybe repost the correct information. i dont intend to make my information 100% pure correct though i wish i could, but i can't as i have only learnt for a VERY short period of time. dont think that just coz im da owner of the board, that i will know everything. i am simply a participant in the board that is (like you) learning from others. and about the harpshicord thing, i was giving a QUESTION, not a statement (thats why I asked ... coz i DIDNT know!!) dont get my questions and statements mixed. Cheers! :)

Okay, like i said dont take it offensivley, after all in the complait section it says you wont get mad, or commit suicide. (lol) anyways, i am sorry about the harpsichord thing, and i am not a prfessional. (bass case ill try to find a website that has the book) and totallystring, how many years have you been playing?
totallystring- 02-01-2005
. no probs, jake. ive been learning for less then a year. *shakes head in shame*

Oh, well then, i had no clue. I thought you had been learning longer. Sorry for being ignorant.
