heavy or light bows..
do you prefer heavy weighted bows or light weight bows..? i prefer light, my violin teacher says hers is a heavy but produced a...louder or heavier sound...(and her cost $1500!!) but i like ma $200 light bow:>

I prefer a more heavy one, since it doesn't bounce on the string as much when doing spiccato (well that's just me :P).

for spiccato i think its the matter of how well u can controll the bow with ur wrist, not really the bow, but ohh wells, ur oppinion

Professional players would prefer lighter bows, since they're easier to control and are more flexible.

I prefer lighter bows. I have 3 Coda Bows that I love, and they'r perfect. My favorite bow is my Coda Bow Classic. It's not too light but it's not heavy either.

i like light bows.... im a bit of a mover so i dont want to be weighed down!!!
